 Korean BTS Boy's Group Take a break but promise to return

Korean group BTS appeared at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on April 3, 2022.

K-pop superstar group BTS is taking a break. The South Korean boy band announced their decision during a long dinner that they filmed and shared on social media.

Group leader RM Said, "I've always thought BTS is different from other groups, but the problem with K-pop and the whole ideal system is that they don't give you time to grow up." 

"After years of work, the group has lost its way," he added.

A spokesperson for the band's entertainment company Hybe said in a statement: "Obviously they are not on break, but it will take time to figure out some solo projects and be active in different formats."

In the video, seven BTS members sit at a long table with food and drink. Balloons and the words "BTS FESTA" adorn the wall.

BTS officially debuted in 2013. The band members, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimenez, V, and Jung Cook, now they have spent many years reaching world success and becoming one of the world's most famous people. They have worked together and become a world famous musical group. 

They has recently used his influence in the White House to send a message against anti-Asian hatred.

Suga said in the video that it's been a real struggle to even come up with lyrics that mean something.

Jin Said, "But after all this time, their work has felt more robotic".

"I have my own hobbies, and the things I want to do on my own," Jin Added. 

He said he needed to take a step back and mature more personally in order for the band to move forward.

RM said he needed to do his own things. "I want BTS to go on for a long time," he said.

They said that they will return after the break.
